Sword of the Emperor – Dropping

I have been receiving a lot of negative feedback regarding the translation of this novel.

I had hoped that I could make a contribution to the translation community by doing small releases so everyone could enjoy this novel.

I tried my best, but I feel like the negativity isn’t worth all the time spent on both getting help from someone to translate as well as proofing and reproofing.

I literally sacrificed the time I get to spend facetiming with a boyfriend who lives all the way on the other side of the country so that I can get at least a portion translated everyday. I did see some people who were happy for the updates but then there were also equally the same number of people who were unhappy.

So what I initially thought would bring me happiness to do…is only something I found a chore. I really wanted to do this for a long time, but just like you can’t be truly happy working at a company you don’t like…I can’t be happy translating a novel that doesn’t bring alot of support from the readers.

Thank you for reading the small amount I did translate.

But I will be dropping it as of today.
